Hussar Summer Daze is the Village of Hussar’s annual community festival, proudly celebrating small-town spirit, connection, and tradition since 1975. Held each June during Father’s Day weekend, the event brings together residents, families, local businesses, and visitors for a weekend that highlights the heart of rural Alberta.

Organized by a dedicated volunteer committee, Hussar Summer Daze showcases the community through a variety of family-friendly events and long-standing traditions. The weekend features activities for all ages, including a community parade, Gymkhana rodeo, Kidz Zone, slow-pitch tournament, travelling scavenger hunt, pancake breakfast, beer gardens, live music, and a community dinner.

More than just a festival, Hussar Summer Daze reflects the pride, collaboration, and generosity that define the village. Local organizations, businesses, volunteers, and families work together each year to create an experience that welcomes everyone — from lifelong residents to first-time visitors.

With nearly five decades of history, Hussar Summer Daze continues to grow while staying true to its roots: celebrating community, supporting local traditions, and bringing people together in a place where small town truly means big heart.
